  • 8 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup ground meat (pork or chicken)
  • 1 cup shredded vegetables (carrots and cabbage)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, shredded vegetables, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well mixed.
  2. Soak each rice paper wrapper in warm water for about 10 seconds until pliable.
  3. Place one tablespoon of filling on the lower third of each wrapper. Fold up from the bottom over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly like a burrito.
  4. Heat enough cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat to cover the bottom generously.
  5. Fry dumplings in hot oil without overcrowding until golden brown on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  6. Transfer cooked dumplings to paper towels to drain excess oil and serve hot with dipping sauces.
