  • 1 cup dried figs, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse fresh cranberries under cold water. Chop dried figs into small pieces.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and sauté chopped onions and figs until translucent.
  3. Stir in the cranberries, orange juice, and apple cider vinegar. Cook until cranberries pop.
  4. Add brown sugar, salt, and pepper; stir until sugar dissolves.
  5. If using, add the cinnamon stick and simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool before storing in jars or airtight containers.
