  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a saucepan until just warm to the touch (about 110°F). Stir in the yeast and a teaspoon of sugar; let it sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture when ready and stir until combined but slightly sticky.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (¼ inch thick), spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Roll tightly into a log, slice into 12 equal pieces, place them in a greased baking dish, and let rise again while preheating your oven to 350°F.
