  • 2 medium fresh tangerines (for juice and zest)
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup tangerine juice
  • Zest of 1 tangerine
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Form mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While meatballs bake, whisk together soy sauce, honey, tangerine juice, and zest in a saucepan. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Toss baked meatballs in the tangerine glaze until fully coated. Serve warm with chopped green onions on top.
